What I want for King

Hey everyone. If we haven’t met, my name is Jonathan Carone and I’m running for city council here in king.

The election is three weeks from tomorrow, so I want to move from some of the theoretical or philosophical things I’ve been talking about the last five weeks to answering some of the questions I’ve gotten from people like you.

This first one has come in a few different ways, but essentially it’s saying, “Jonathan – I know you say you’re here to represent what we want, but what do *you* want for the future of our town?”

When we think of the future of our town, I definitely lean towards growth and progress. I want new restaurants. I want new retail areas and places to spend my money here in town. I welcome new people coming to King and our town moving from a sleepy farm town to a thriving suburb.

I understand not everyone wants that. I get it if you hear me say that and you’re turned off by it.

But if I’m going to ask you to vote for me, you deserve to know exactly what you’d be getting if I were to win. I will do my absolutely best to represent everyone, but at the end of the day, my bias is towards healthy growth and progress.

I opened this campaign by saying King is at a crossroad and five weeks into the campaign, I believe that to be true even more than before. It’s become a cliche to say an election is the most important election ever, but next month’s election truly is one of the most important ones of the last decade.

If you want the things I want, I’d love for you to vote for me. If you want something different, there are four other great candidates in this election. My only ask is you get out and vote for the ones who align with what you want. If we’re going to build king’s future, we need to hear from everyone. That includes you.

If you have questions you’d like me to answer, feel free to send me a message or drop a comment below and I’ll get you an answer.

Thanks for watching and I hope you have a great day.
